And here (from today) is a loud and important message to present and future Lithuanian politicians: PM Gintas met with me on the day his coalition was announced (as I reported then), and assured me, as he had in the past, that his government will protect our heritage. Basically, his last act as PM (8 months later) was the shocking announcement that his government plans to develop our holy Shnipishok cemetery! Only 8 days(!) later his government fell, and now he is in the defendant's seat! I clearly warn all Lithuanian politicians that the spirits of our holy Sages and forefathers who rest in the holy Shnipishok cemetery do not want to be disturbed! They brought down the mighty Soviet empire that desecrated the cemetery, and now they brought down Gintas. Remember, you were warned in advance!
